How to translate
The European Correspondent is active and present in all parts of Europe and aims to feature the best European content. There can be situations where native-language publications are either the sole outlet available or are of exceptional quality. In these situations, our correspondents will also feature content in languages other than English.
Where do you want to read?
On the computer

Go to a webpage written in another language.
On the right of the address bar, click Translate.
Chrome will translate your current webpage.

Microsoft Edge has a built-in translation service. To activate it, you simply right-click on the page you want to translate and select translate.

In the Safari app on your Mac, go to the web page you want to translate.
If the web page can be translated, the Smart Search field displays the Translate button.
Click the Translate button, then choose a language.
If you think the translation might need improvement, click the Translate button, then choose Report Translation Issue. The translation is sent to Apple for review.

To translate pages in the Firefox browser, you need to download this addon: TWP - Translate Web Pages – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US) (mozilla.org). Follow the instructions given.
On your phone

Go to a webpage written in another language.
At the bottom, select the language you want to translate to.
To change the default language, tap More and More languages and select the language.
Chrome will translate the webpage this one time.
To always translate pages in this language, tap More and then Always translate pages in [language].

Launch Safari on your iPhone or iPad, then visit a webpage that's in a language you'd like to translate and watch for the address bar to indicate that a translation is available.
Tap the aA button in the far-left of the address bar, then select Translate to [Language] in the dropdown menu. If you don't see the option, the webpage either isn't compatible with Safari's translation feature or the language isn't supported.
Tap Enable Translation in the prompt if required.

Tap on the horizontal … icon menu for Options
Choose the Settings icon from the top bar within options.
Tap on the General menu and select Microsoft Translator.
Enable the toggle button in front of Translate Pages to enable the translation.
Now, open any website that is not a native language (ex: Japanese or Chinese).
A translate pop-up bar will invoke asking whether to translate the webpage to preferred.
Tap on the preferred language (ex: English) in the bar for translation.
